2Day 2: Hanoi - Discover Village Life & Traditional Tastes

Today, embark on a flavorful cultural journey into the heart of Vietnamese village traditions, exploring two unique culinary destinations near Hanoi.

Begin your day in Le Mat Snake Village, famously known for its centuries-old tradition of snake wine. Here, you’ll get a firsthand look at how local families raise snakes and see snake wine, believed to have medicinal benefits. For the adventurous, this is a rare chance to taste one of Vietnam’s most intriguing local delicacies.

Continue your experience in Tu Son Rat Village, where the specialty is surprisingly unique: grilled field rat, a rural delicacy that’s been part of local culture for generations. Learn how this protein-rich food is carefully sourced from rice fields and seasoned using traditional herbs and spices.

End your culinary adventure with banh phu the - also known as “husband and wife cake.” This traditional Vietnamese dessert is a symbol of love and fidelity, often featured at weddings. Made from glutinous rice, mung bean paste, and coconut, each cake is delicately wrapped in pandan leaves and steamed to perfection.

3Day 3: Explore Hanoi Traditional Crafts & Arts

On the final day, we set out to experience the rich and long-standing craft heritage of Hanoi’s villages, each renowned for a different art form.

First, we venture to Da Sy Metalsmith Village. While here, Travelers will see skilled artisans forging tools and decorative items by hand with your own eyes. Travelers can even try hammering metal under the guidance of a professional.

Afterward, we make a move to Chuong Village, home to conical hats. They are not only practical items but also works of art with intricate patterns adorned. At a family-run workshop, Travelers will gain more information about how these iconic hats are woven from palm leaves, and Travelers can roll up your sleeves, shaping and painting your own.

Later, we continue to Quang Phu Cau Village, where incense sticks are made. Watch when local makers roll bamboo sticks in fragrant paste, then hang them to dry in the sun. Travelers will leave with a bundle of fresh incense as a fragrant souvenir.

The last destination for today is the village which thrives in the art of To He. A native artist will show you the way to mold and decorate these tiny toys, and you should not miss a chance to craft the mini animal or character you like.

Wrapping up a day full of stories, we hit the road to Hanoi. This marks the end of your journey in Northern Vietnam. Thank you for choosing us, we hope to see you again!
