Combine Hue’s headline heritage sites with a bicycle ride into the countryside. The route moves from imperial landmarks to Hue Citadel, Thien Mu Pagoda and Thanh Toan Bridge, giving you both city context and a more active look at rural life in one day.
The quiet country lanes and picturesque monuments make Hue an ideal place for cycling. This full-day tour is a mix of less visited routes and sites: let you wander through this city of galleries of Vietnam’s history and then explore the other side of Hue, the less touristic one, to explore rural life and country lanes. The tile-roofed Thanh Toan Bridge is an ancient architectural remain with highly historic and cultural values and a tourist attraction. In many guidebooks, the bridge is referred to as the “Japanese Bridge” since it bears some stylistic resemblance to another small wooden bridge in nearby Hoian. On the way to the bridge, we will go through the countryside of peaceful villages. You can take pictures of buffalos, cows, and farmers in the rice field and taste local food.
Around 08:00, You'll be picked up directly at your hotel and transferred to the bicycle shop. Let’s begin your trip by riding your bicycle to the first attraction - Thanh Toan Bridge.
Leave the center of Hue and its historic buildings for a bicycle ride through the rural Vietnamese countryside to the Thanh Toan Village, located 8 km away, to visit 200 - year Thanh Toan Tile-Roofed Bridge.
After the expedition, You'll be transferred by car to explore one of the most iconic landmarks in Hue - the Thien Mu Pagoda. This ancient temple, perched atop a hill overlooking the river, is steeped in history and legend, dating back over 400 years.
You'll have time to explore the majestic Hue Citadel and immerse yourself in the rich history of Vietnam's Nguyen Dynasty. As you wander through the Imperial City, you'll be transported back in time to an era of opulence and grandeur, marveling at the intricate architecture and ornate decorations that adorn the palaces, temples, and other structures within the citadel walls.
Enjoy a delicious lunch with Hue specialties at a local restaurant.
After lunch, we will continue the exploration with a explore to the Tu Duc Tomb, the sprawling complex of palaces, temples, and pavilions set amidst lush gardens and tranquil lakes.
Return to your hotel when finishing the tour. Our tour is complete here, and hope your journey is filled with joyful moments and beautiful adventures!
